Team WTF?! is a loose association of a handful of Washington, D.C. area autocrossers.  The name was hatched when two of the founding members were doing a course walk in the rain at the DC ProSolo in June 2004.

The Answer is the question.

Team WTF?! took home the trophies at the 2005 WDCR Solo II Championship Series Event #4 this past weekend with first and second place finishes in A Street Prepared and B Stock.  Bren won ASP for the first time this year, and JohnV won B Stock for his first time as well.  Nick and Clyde took home the second place trophies in each respecitive class, trailing their teammates by a few tenths.

It was a real Team WTF?! kind of day for the Team WTF?! RX-8.  A fuse blew, leaving the car's datalogger inoperative.  The camera lost its video feed after the car's second of nine runs.  JohnV and Clyde both made Mrs. Clyde nauseous ("but in a good way" -Mrs. Clyde) during her ride alongs.  They also had to steal water from teammate Nick since they neglected to bring a water sprayer.  Clyde forgot to put gas in the car before the event, so they ran out during.  Clyde also managed to spin the car in the final section of the course on his third run.  Twice.  The big one, though, was busting two more wheel studs on the day.

On an up note, a later revision of the checklist that started development in Peru (see photo) seemed to help things in the Team WTF?! RX-8, but after the day's events, it is clear that the checklist needs further tweaking.

Some photos of the event are available, but they are mostly paddock shots and of cars on course in the first heat.  The captured on car video is also available.
