Team WTF?! is a loose association of a handful of Washington, D.C. area autocrossers.  The name was hatched when two of the founding members were doing a course walk in the rain at the DC ProSolo in June 2004.

The Answer is the question.

WTF?! 2006 is here.  How did that happen already?  Like last year, Team WTF?! will make it's annual debut at the San Diego National Tour.  Unlike last year's nuttiness of driving an E30 325is that was bone stock except for bushings in STX on Yokohama ES100s  we'll be in a mildly interesting car: A 400 horsepower, 400 foot-pounds of torque, 4,000 pound CTS-V in F Stock. We'll see if 245/35-18 Kumho V710s can stand up to it.  We doubt it, but what are you gonna do?

The 2006 autocross season will see some changes to the cars fielded by Team WTF?!

Nick will be running his E46 M3 in ASP again, but will also begin BMW Club Racing in his E46 323i.  Bren will be making Nick chase his autocross setup all year as he runs real tires for an entire season for the first time in his ASP E46 M3.  BahnBaum is reitring his M3 from competition (at least for the time being) and instead will be running an E30 325is (formerly owned by rumatt) with Wonger and Mrs. Clyde splitting codrive duties, depending on the series.  Andy sold his 2nd place STX 330i and replaced it with an A Stock S2000.  Ken is also in an A Stock S2000 going into 2006 (we'll see if he stays in it all year).  Rumatt decided to keep is Nationals winning D Stock 330i for another year.  The question is whether he scratches his modding ich and makes a real WTF?! effort to make it a DSP car. Pinecone has moved into his Spec Racer Ford for the year and may only run a few autocrosses in his E36 M3 LTW.  The Team WTF?! RX-8 will be making another run with John V and Clyde at the wheel again.  The two of them may also take some runs here and there in a certain Boxster S.

The Team WTF?! BMW Club Racing E46 323i is currently undergoing some major preperations at the Team WTF?! Garage in the hinterlands of northern Maryland.  What kind of prep? The kind that brought onlookers all the way down from New York and Boston just to heckle.

The SRF should be ready to run and gun shortly as well with a partially new body and some new toys.

The Team WTF?! RX-8 has some new secret weapons which may or may not make their debut at the WDCR warm up event at FedEx Field on March 26.  It also has some issues from the end of last season that still haven't been addressed.  What are you gonna do? :dunno:
