Team WTF?!'s entry into the Kumho Kapers "Conee" Video Awards Party was banned and not allowed to compete for any of the prizes. It seems as though there were some "rules" that weren't listed in the rules.
Now, I don't know...I may just be a lunkhead with an IQ that barely makes it into the two digit realm, but if there was some kind of rule about language that was allowed and not allowed in the videos, it might have made sense to include that rule in the "rules ."
Had we known about these secret rules, we could have taken them into consideration. Instead, we put serious time and effort into preparing submissions under the known rules and took time away from other things to submit the entries and attend the party only to find out after the fact that it wasn't going to be shown or considered due to containing language. As it was described to me, the Team WTF?! representative was told after the event, "...anything with profanity was guaranteed to not be shown."
All we have to say is that it would have been nice to know about it beforehand. Somewhere like...I dunno...in the posted rules, maybe? As to whoever it was in charge of making the decision to turn Team WTF?! into members of SUCCA (Screwed U Car Club of America), all we say is, "Fuck 'em if they can't take a joke." See the "Team WTF?! 2006: The Year So Far " preview now, before it gets banned again!
