Team WTF?! is a loose association of a handful of Washington, D.C. area autocrossers.  The name was hatched when two of the founding members were doing a course walk in the rain at the DC ProSolo in June 2004.

The Answer is the question.

Skierd Wins the First Event of the 2007 Team WTF?! Challenge PDF Print E-mail

The results for the first event in the 2007 Team WTF?! Challenge are now final.  Extra point values have been applied.  Skierd is the winner with 44 points.  Asked how he managed, he replied:

Drove Don Miller's F125 kart.  The exhaust fell off during my first run, slightly melting and oiling up my kart suit.

After Don broke the chain on his second run and replaced the master link in the pits, we never checked the tension on the chain.  There was about 3" of slack in the chain and it started to eat through the chain guard and wear on the frame.

We also decided to race the kart without front brakes, mainly because the right front caliper was leaking and were too lazy to fix it.  It stopped pulling to the left once it ran out of fluid at least.  Karts dont like it when you lock up the rear brakes though, it tends to make the kart stall.  And spin.  Two or three times aparently.

After skierd, amsfoto followed in second place with 36 points and SCCACorba took third with 33 points.

The full results are here.
